I saw someone plugged in their own cord on an ES and it ran out the glove compartment. I took it out but can seem to find how to get to the back of the radio. Anyone know if I have to take the radio out or if I can get to it somehow from behind the glove compartment?

Hey guys,

Given that this cable does not merely plug into an RCA port, does anyone know whether or not you get a generic cable, or if you can only get the one from the dealer? The only thing that look special on this one is the square box in the middle, otherwise it is just a plain cable.

Alternatively, is it a fairly straightforward matter to hook up an amplifier to the standard / base model head-unit? - because you could then just hook up an ordinary RCA cable.

Thanks
