I JUST PURCHASED 1990 MONTERO,AND HAVE REPLACED HEAD GASKETS,COIL,IAC VALVE,AND COOLANT TEMP SWITCH.IT STILL WANTS TO STALL WHEN PUT IN GEAR.IT ALSO IDLES ROUGH WHEN WARMED UP.COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE THE COMPUTER GOING BAD?GOING TO HAVE IT CHECKED JUST IN CASE.ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL.

i'm guessing you have an auto?

if so i have the same problem but its just started for no apparent reason.
