So I've heard from many different people that you should take it easy (below 3K rpm) for about 1500km. I have also heard you should do that till 3000km. I have also heard that you should run it hard for the first 20-30km and take it easy afterwards. What is the proper way of breaking in a new motor?

Also, do I have to change the oil every 100km or so?

With the new technology and what not you only really have to break in a clutch now. I would take it easy on the car no WOT and try to avoid constant speeds for a while. maybe 1000 miles.
