 L200 Starting Problems

Hi I can't start my L200 Diesel unless I bump start it.

I turn the key and there's just a clicking sound, so I have cleaned the battery terminals and taken it for a long run but the starter motor will not turn, something under the bonnet just clicks when I turn the key???

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

the starter solenoid is making the clicking noise.problem could either be a flat battery or the starter motor itself, worn brushes etc

It might sound silly but try wacking the starter with a hammer, can loosen it up. :57:
