Yep, I'm asking for help.

Does anyone have an online manual or anything like that for this engine?

I'm having a HELL of a time trying to set the idle and I've narrowed it down to the IAC valve and/or motor. I've tried cleaning it and swapping it with one from a junkyard. The one from the junkyard I think is toast, my car didn't respond to it one bit.

Mine on the other hand, the car will bounce it's idle between 1200 and 1500. It will work PERFECTLY if the air compressor motor is going. My thoughts are because it's loaded.

So, I'm asking for help on two things:

1. Looking for an online service manual.
2. Asking for assistance on any tricks (besides the throttle body screw) to fix the IAC valve. It appears to be ok but it is definately not working.

Oh yea, I've read that the MAF can cause this... is this true? If I unplug my MAF while the car is running it will cause a more rough idle. If I plug it back in while the car is running, it will die right away. This tells me I'm definately getting a signal but I don't know if it's good. I've already tried to clean the MAF but I'm open to all opinions on this.

Thanks everyone.

:00000732:

there are couple of ways to fix your problem.
1, rebuild that stupid isc
2, get a new one from the dealer
3, just unplug the isc but that will make your car run leaner a bit.

taken the isc in and out is a pice of cake. its not too hard to do.

Yea, I've done it multiple times now but I was wondering if anyone had any tricks. Pretty much everything you've said I have tried except goin to mitsubishi for a new one. No offense, but it will probably cost me more than I paid for this car.

Thank you though.
