What's up guys,

Here's the deal.My buddy has a 92 Talon AWD w/ a 4G63 6 Bolt engine. We have seen the 2.4 stroker kit for the motor. Is the crank on that the same as the 2.4 4G? He has one and just wants to make sure it will work. Thanks...

Yes. He is in the middle of building a monster. My other question if this crank will work, is can he use his regular length rods that he already bought or does he need a long rod set?

correct be if im wrong but the 2.4 engine is nothing compatable with the 2.0 4g these 2.4 strokers are new machined motors like any other stroker they use a existings crank and machine it differently to the same size base.

it will work BUT you need to take the block to have it machined to match the crankshaft ends to work. OR you can but a crank that have been stroked

I don't know a whole lot on the topic, but keep in mind, the kit is for a 2.3L 4g63. The 4g crank is for a 2.4L. Just something to htink about.

What i had meant by that is that the .1 L difference in the design is prolly not going to make the two crank's compatible.

I thought that sumed it up. I obviously haven't had expierence with it, hence the "i don't know a whole lot on the topic"....

I said i think it won't work bc the stroker kit is designed for 2.3L and the 4g crank is designed for 2.4L Thus a .1L difference.
