Hi, I am planning of buying some front and rear mudguards for my ES. I just noticed yesterday that I have some small paint chips on the car. Do I have to remove the tires to do this? What brands would you recommend? Does it require drilling?
Thanks:)

I had the delaership do mine & they had to take the tires off. It is easier that way.
Unless you have a 90 degree drill that will fit in there....just take them off.

Cars that I have done in the past I didn't have to drill. The mudflaps came with self tapping screws.

Maybew someone soon will post their way of installing them, but it should be really easy.

Hi Six,
Are these the mudguards you're using right now?:
https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/product_inf...products_id/469

The dealership hourly rate is $92, I might just try and do it myself first.

thanks!

I would go to a private mechanic (lower rates) or even WALMART for an easy install like that if you don't have the tools.

Wow 92$ Hourly Rate, My friend! you just gave me an idea for a new post, lol

The scary thing is Lonnie, when I started canvassing the smaller shops around for their hourly rate it ranged from $80 to $95 per hour, I'm talking about Mom and Pops here:(
Maybe I should ask a neighbor, I live in Kent WA by the way.

hey,

has anyone tried to fit front mudguards on a car that has the side skirts / sill extension? dealer says that the skirt goes just past the start of the wheel arch so the mudflaps wont fit. is there any solution other than cutting a bit of the mud-flap off do that it fits around the skirt?
