hello Frens,
My roomie recently crashed my Car and I had a hard time fixing up my 1995 Mit. 3000 GT !
I had the aftermarket parts for the Airbags installed and after the body work was completely done, the auto body shop said that I would have to get the SRS Computer Module CODED by a Mitsubishi Dealer as the SRS lights would always stay ON !
Since I live in a small University town, there are no Mit. Dealers and I went to a Chrysler dealer ( Dodge Stealth and 3000GT mostly have the same system ) ..
During the Diagnosis, the DRB III that they used showed "NO RESPONSE" and they even tried Connecting the BATTERY OFF and then again restarting the Connections .. and I even tried another SRS Computer Module ( which was removed from a 3000GT whose airbags were not deployed, so it shud be working ) .. but the same error popped up. They told me that they even tried DRB II for the diagnosis, but the same error showed up.
Can anyone please guide me how to proceed with this problem ?
I am an International Student and henceforth cant afford to spend much, so I would be fairly grateful if you can suggest me something cheap and effective for this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jimmy.

There are multiple reasons , depending on where the crash was , there are 3 crash sensors have seen on front of Galant VR-4's and GTO's near the front air dam and one on each side behind the bumper reinforcment on the underside of teh frame. If they are not replaced and are damaged can falslly trigger the restraint module , the onlee other reason also is that if it triggered the bags to deploy and the multifunction cancel cam in teh steering wheel is bad and it is not reading an air bag.

He did mention taking it to a shop. But well we do all our own crash work and air bag work , sum people at body shops do not kno anymore than a person intended on fixing it themselves.
Multiple reasons are Crash sensors , they need to all be within the year of yur vehicle and no more than a 2 year differance frum production date. Usually when we source these sensors we get new ones , if have to get frum a parts car in the lot we onlee go within a 1 year range of the year were working on.there are impact sensor at car rear also, and the id of the module may not be syncing with all of them , also , in most cases when yur airbag has deployed we always changed the driver steering cancel cam , when yu pull off the upper portion of teh airbag or steering wheel yull see it , its under the steering wheel and should be yellow round, its the driver air bag module cancel cam , its multi function , if yu havent , this needs to be changed , It is very important when properlly puting it in and "timing" it properlly. If it is "clocked" or "timed" to tightlly the band inside will break , also it should be same in corisponding number to teh main module, or within the initial year. Mitsubishi's are very year sensitive. Frum ECU,TCU to this. If the main Air Bag Module isnt within the same year it will have adverse affects
