QUOTE(SkRibL77 @ May 12 2008, 08:27 AM) I've seen some old posts relating to 3g's and drls, but they're pretty old and don't have any good answers. Sorry for a new thread but I think it's important (maybe there should be an area for importing mitsubishi's to Canada? It's getting pretty popular with the dollar at par...) I've imported a 2004 gts into Canada, and drls are mandatory. I've heard there is no module available, but these cars were sold in Canada, and Canadian models have them. Is it then a BCM or ECU flash? Or some re-wiring? or Maybe just a fuse or relay? If anyone has done this before, please let me know how much it cost you. Thanks. :57: dude day time running lights are easy to make bro. find your low beam light wires, test them for positive and ground. next find your accessories wire on the back of your radio. its the wire that has 12v running when your key is in the on position, but not when in the off position. jump 2 wires into this wire and split the wire down each side of your car. pull your plastics and your carpet out from under your dash. then remove your quarter panel. drill a small hole into the area from inside your car to out. right where your quarter panel is. run the wires out into this area. then up to where your lights are. replace your quarter panels and your carpet and plastics under your dash so the wires are hidden. then just splice into the positive wire on the low beam your lights. cost to you. what ever it ends up for the two 4 1/2 foot pieces of wire and the 3 easy splice wire connectors. the only thing is if your radio is on your light will be too. also if the radio wire doesn't work you can always try a different wire. one that only turns on when your car is running. possibly your alternator wire so your lights are only on when the car is running. the choice is up to you bra. it may not seem like a legitimate module or anything, but as long as you have them whether it is a home made kit or not they are still considered day time running lights right? you could also hook them into your neutral safety switch so that your lights only come on when your actually driving, but thats a whole different thing to worry about.

That's alot of work. yeah i do call that easy. i also call it inexpensive, and a chance for learning more about your car. (if you never personally do mods on your car, how will you ever be able to help out others?) yes they have modules for day time running lights. its called google man, you might want to check it out once in a while. took me 15 seconds to find one........wooo hooooo! here is a link to a module i found for you. cost is $26.99 + free shipping, maybe not to Canada, but probably not that expensive to ship it there. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.ama...Njms4WWOyuHYFXQ

There were 4 reviews on the product and 2 people said it was complete crap. The others said it was so-so because of difficulties and not very good manufacturing. Secondly I don't know if you read it, but it said currently ONLY shipped WITHIN THE US. So I wouldn't trust it first of all and second they won't even ship it to him since he's not part of the U.S.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, and the how-to. I appreciate opinions, otherwise why would I be here in the first place... I have googled the module, but I'm looking for recommendations, hence my post. I'm no novice to 12V electrical work, I've installed numerous complete systems in numerous vehicles. I'm looking for a mod for simplicity sake, 5-10 mins of labor vs an hour. That being said, I'd never use T-taps on a vehicle, ever. They fail/short often. I would always recommend a soldered connection. Soldering irons are cheap, and you'll use it again. Always touch-up spots with rust-inhibiting primer when you drill/cut holes in your metal. Always use grommets when running wire through metal holes. Loom your wires. Shorts are BAD, mmmkay. They cause FIRES. :P Just my 2c.
Anyway, thanks for the posts guys. Any more Suggestions?

Hey no one is calling names here, I just pointed something out for ya. No need to get upset. But the other one wouldn't get shipped tp Canada and it was kinda a bad product that the people were selling. That's all. But like I said no need to get all uptight man.
