look man to get better brakes you flat out have to buy the better material brakes. ceramic and semi metallic brakes are better than the stock replacements they have at auto part stores. they carry them at the auto parts stores. to get the best price available. you go to all the local auto parts stores. get quotes on all the new brake pads, both semi metallic and ceramic. then go back to the auto parts store with the price beat guarantee and show them the least expensive price you have found for ceramic pads. have them meet and then beat the price by the 5-10% they claim, and you have the best brake pads for the least expensive price.
if you don't like the price go for semi metallic. if you still aren't crazy about the prices i suggest you look online for cheaper prices. however, to tell you the truth. i bought ceramic pads for my car and they are insane good for stopping power. just remember to not lock up your brakes, because they will lock up quicker than you will expect. stock pads you have to slam on your brakes to lock up. semi metallic you have to push hard on them to lock them up. ceramics will lock up if you just suddenly step on your brake pedal just a little too hard. trust me, my wife did it in traffic and we started sliding around a blind corner. my heart dam near jumped out of my fukin chest.

Consider Powerslot Plus rotors, they're larger than OEM in the front and rear, and you can use the OEM calipers with whatever pad you want. Here's a closeup photo of the front rotor. (IMG: http://www.sc-customs.com/storage/NOPI/DSCN1733.JPG)

QUOTE(njzfinest247 @ May 16 2008, 05:11 PM) and about how much would these Powerslot Plus rotors cost me? For Brembo slotted rotors are $210 a pair for the front and $316 a pair for the rear. They're not cheap but Brembo is one of the best brands out there. And for the Powerslot Plus you're looking at about $180 a pair for front and the same for the rear. So that just leaves the decision up to you on if you wanna go cheaper or if you wanna pay more for the Brembo name. But that's a rough estimate of how much they'll cost you. I just looked at one website for prices to give you a ballpark estimate, I'm sure you could shop around and find a better deal elsewhere.

So ok maybe I'm becoming a pain in the *$$ but don't the GT's get ABS, and won't lock... or is that just the GTS?

The photo I posted are the Powerslot Plus, which is an increased diameter rotor and includes brackets so you can continue to use your OEM calipers. Yes, Stock wheels will fit these. A full set of the PowerSlot Plus Big Rotor Kit is $640/shipped through me.

However I did a little research and went to Powerslot's website and got the part number for the RS/GS kit, and from what I was able to find the kit ranges in price from $422 to $505 plus shipping. So not terrible if you have the money to spend. But I'd ask SC if he would be able to get them for you for cheaper. and the part number from their website so you can go look it up is 29-562. Happy hunting.
