I have a 2001 Montero Sport with a busted engine. the engine code on mine is J20, i bought an engine from a junkyard that is supposed to be interchangeable, but is a J24 engine code and has a slightly different pulley that flywheel mounts on (it appears to stick out further on my j20) and is different at bottom of engine where the engine mounts to the tranny (the j20 goes to the bottom of the tranny, the j24 doesn't). it appears that i could switch the oil pan and i could use it, but not positive and don't want to risk refund if not compatible.
