Hi,

I'm driving a 1.9 diesel space star, 52 plate, and my engine randomly cuts out on the M4 - about 4-6 times in the last couple of months.

What happens is that the engine completely cuts out and the engine warning light comes on - i can get it started again on the hard shoulder by just sitting there and turning the key until the engine turns back on, the light then turns off also.

I took it to a dealer after the first time that it cut out who told me that it was the fuel filter, which they then replaced, and the car cut out again a week or two later :( .

It seems to happen totally at random and is becoming quite tedious, any help would be much appreciated!
