has anyone heard of the Desno iridium plugs and the double platinum NGK plugs. Supposedly the denso iridium ones can give up to 5whp.

you cant just plug them in.. as Evosoul said, you have to gap them .040. Buy a gapping tool for a dollar. its easy

Well I ordered mine today @ 9 this morning. They will be UPS'd to me in 2 days.

I figured why not.....if they really do work, then good. If they end up being junk...then I will post back.

Psycho-08GTS is doing well with them....so why not.

Either way, I will post back here when I have time to try them out & see what mileage is doing. Today on the way home, when I put it in park in my garage, it said 38.1mpg. The car seems to really like 58mph to get that kind of mileage.
If I can get near a 10% increase....I could technically get 40+mpg's. But as always.....it all comes down to what I get overall per tank which is slowly creeping up past 33+mpg.

gap the plugs at .040" thats all,  I think the stock OEM lancer plugs are gapped at .035 factory

its pretty straight forward.

But in your Dyno test....you have yours gapped @ 0.30

So which do I do?

There in. It only took not even 20 minutes from a novice like me.

Started right up, quicker than before. Idle was very smoooooth. Accelerating was maybe a hair better. But since I rarely get on it...anytime that I get on it, it feels kinda quick. In a not so fair comparison....anytime that I put my Honda lawnmower into high gear & go, that seems pretty quick too. Might give my Lancer a good race
We'll see what happens in a week or 2 of driving it. Hope all goes well.

I started with a .030" gap and tested all the way up to .044, those on my team wanted to see the effect this plug had on combustion just modifying the plugs. Once all the driving testing, emissions testing, and dyno testing is done. We will be moving to the Tuning phase.

Some of the boys in Japan, think that 10 - 12 TQ can be pulled out of the plug if properly tuned. I am looking into RRM's piggy back as well as AEM F IC and others to see which will better suit my needs.

Since I don't have a use of a dyno, I can only go by my butt dyno :P
& my butt sez there is an improvement over the stockers.
It pulls noticeably harder than before. Nothing neck snapping, but noticeable.
Really curious as to your findings again.
As far as mileage....forget it! This tank I am having fun :P
Er uh....maybe next tank?

Decided to go anti-granny now  ?

Well that's good to hear. I may consider getting these plugs then, but evidently there's the thing of gapping, is .040" the best?

EVOSOULD is conducting further testing on this. He said that he will post his results at the end of the month with the .040 gapping.

Yeah.....once I got on the throttle & kicked it......it's been all down hill for the mileage. I'll probably stop playing with it this weekend...but for now the newly found kick is well....a kick. I have other toys to play with for speed so that really isn't a concern for this car. I'm just usually going for mileage...uh, starting tomorrow again :bwekk:

Okay so let me get this straight,

Can i come to the conclusion that these are a good product and are worth it?
and are these pretty easy to install and will not require ECU or anything else?

Well I am still waiting on EVOSOULS report. But my initial review IS favorable.
I can let you know about the mileage in maybe a little over 1 week to see if they are helping or not.
I can def. feel a difference when I hit the gas hard.

I just removed the negative cable from the battery when I was doing the work & popped it back on once it was done & whola. VERY easy to do everything & I don't work on cars. This was something new for me.

Well, I just changed the gap on my Pulstar Plugs from .030" to .040" and to be honest, I do feel a slight difference just by changing the gap! Acceleration seems to be a tad bit quicker and smoother.

As far as MPG gains with changing the gap, I don't know if it will make a difference or not, but I'll let you know after a couple more tanks of gas. :57:

No, I haven't noticed any popping sound since installing the Pulstar Plugs. I have the Sun & Sound Package minus the Navigation System.

Has the popping sound started since installing the Pulstar Plugs?
