no idea how i go on too, but even after the car accident, (both of them) I have had new projects spring up. like for example, working to see if I can enhance the headlights, lol get some projectors and halo eyes in there.
Anyways all that aside, the only neg thing I have come across with the plug running at 0.044" before my girlfriend creamed the car for a second time is, I noticed that when the car is cold it feels alittle laggy. Although I dont normally drive the car right away, I decided to test under all conditions.
Once the car is up to temp, everythign seem 100% fine.
It could be just me, I only put maybe 400 km on it. so I didnt have time to extensively test it.
Other then that, the plugs perform reasonabley well.

QUOTE(SixFeetDeep @ May 25 2008, 10:38 PM) Cool....just wish I could get the use of a dyno to do my own before & after testing. I am really curious to see what kind of #'s the plugs put out. Another guy on here had his gapped @ .030 & since then has redone his to the rec. .040 & he noticed a diff. Better throttle response :) So I know that your initial findings are a work in progree, but you should see a little more out of it with the wider gap. Maybe only a few HP if that & maybe 4-5 TQ, but it is still better than what I had. Can't wait to see what kind of mileage I can pull out of it now.
Now to just settle on an exhaust & an intake & I am done!
Nice. .040"? Got it  I second the intake and exhaust remaining too  and maybe a few personalizations stuff. :offtopic: Congrats to our new mod =)

QUOTE(EvoSoul @ May 27 2008, 09:50 AM) this my be worth a read, came across it earlier this month. Some may find it interesting. They mention the CVT lancer in here ;) http://www.pulstarplug.com/pdf/whitepaper_hybrids.pdfweigh in 12.6% More fuel economy?! Wow. What I really like about the article is the "up to 10 times more power" statement. So that means 500W <_< and the pic show a million watts xD What the? xD

Would it be beneficial for a manual owner if they were to purchase these plugs??? btw 5 speed FTW!!!

the article seems to be incomplete, there is HP gain, but I admit not all that much. There is a larger TQ gain, it becomes very quickly visible on the dyno. The reason why the HP says 0 is probably because the results are inconclusive, I think they should have put it N/A instead of 0. Remember, in the CVT transmission Lancer, there are two ECU's one for the engine and the other for the transmission. In some ways you can say that the CVT can be more controlling of the two. The CVT actually limits the performance of the engine in order to fight against vibration and CVT belt stresses.
To answer the question about the Manual vs. the CVT. The performance gain will always be more on the dyno for a Manual because their is no restriction of a CVT transmission. so you might get 132whp for the manual but 123 whp for the CVT. so if there is let say a 4% gain, over all for both, the number will be bigger forthe 132. It doesnt mean one transmission type is better then the other. Actually, in my tests, the CVT beats the out performing Manual every time.

 This makes me feel much better about buying a Auto CVT now over a manual.
