I calculate my mileage by hand after filling my gas tank everytime I fill up!   The calculations in my last post were what I have calculated since owning the car.

My MPG computer reads anywhere from 30-34.5 on average!  Which that used to read as high as 27-30 prior to installing all my mods!

well dang i feel good if mine is reading at least 25mpg's how do u stay on 30 or higher with city driving?

have you tried calling their tech support? they may have some suggestions, since I think they have run some testing on the CVT lancer.

Second, what other mods do you have on your car?

Finally, do you have a Check engine light on your car?

QUOTE(gotthatGTS @ Jun 8 2008, 06:40 PM)

no i havent tried their tech support.

i have custom short ram intake (mazda3 intake conversion)
and a custom axel back exhaust w/apex muffler
all my other mods are cosmetic and things that would have nothing to do with spark plugs.

and no no check engine right now..or when i had the plugs in for that matter. it just idled really really low at like 400-500rpm and when i touched the gas it sounded like it was ready to choke out.

Well, sorry to hear that your having a headache with those plugs. I actually shipped mine back to them today.
My plugs lasted 1022 miles...roughly a little over 2 weeks for me. On the way home the car started to sputter, but only very slightly & the Service Engine Soon light came on. As soon as I got home & the car cooled off, I replaced the Pulstars with the stockers & everything was fixed. No more light & no more crackling sounds from listening to Sirius.
I really liked the plugs...while they lasted, but I am not taking any chances on a product that trips the SES light.......
A shame.....I paid $19 to have the 2nd day UPS & now it cost an additional $9.20 to ship that stuff back. Roughly $30 to "test" them out & let everyone on here know what I think.....yeah...it was worth it. I know I could have gotten another set from them to replace the ones that I had, but why....I don't need another headache in another 1K miles......especially since I will be taking the car on a trip soon.
Guess I'll use the money I get back to go towards an Injen intake or ?????

Wish I could have had better news for you all....gotthatGTS...best of luck to you....I really wish that they would have been all that....especially for the price. :(

yea its w/e man..thats the way it goes when modding cars...things dont always work. this car tho has been quite an exception..problem after problem after problem, there hasnt been one thing yet that hasnt caused some kind of problem or headache, im really not sure how much more i can take. i think im going to look into trading it in.. im gonna lose alot of money by doing so but...thats the breaks i guess. :(

Look at all the people who bought Fujita SRIs... now we know how they feel.

It's highly likely that Pulstar will get back to you SixFeetDeep and let you know what's the deal with your plugs.

Doubt it....I sent them a letter with it requesting my $$$ back. Even if they offered another set....I just don't want to take a chance...... though they were nice.....

Quick thought. Check your Manual, we have iridium Plugs in our 08 lancers. It tells you to replace them with NGK or Denso. I can't see the point in changing them if thats whats in there. Both NGK and Denso are awsome plugs, I wonder what the Resistance of the wires are... Maybe that would be good check, HRRRRMMMM.

Man I really wanted to buy these plugs until SixFeetDeep wrote this. Do you think it is still worth it to get these plugs, or just spend that money on something else?

Know what....I really DID like them. I know I could have just had them send me another one.....but it really made me mad that 1 fouled out in that short of time.
I just didn't want to chance it again.....especially if I take it on a road trip. I don't want to get stranded or have to work on the car on the side of the road.
I only would take 10 minutes to fix the problem, but it would be a hassle.
I'm married with kids....I have ENOUGH hassles in my life!

Maybe I would try them again later down the road....but for now, the money I spent on them (and was refunded) went towards my new Injen Intake.

So all in all.....I do like them, but just turned off by them for now. Maybe a V2 would come out? Then maybe.

I've had nothing but HEADACHES with these plugs. I'm on my 3rd set of replacements!!

COMPANY is GREAT!! Replace with no questions asked.

The plugs are VERY fragile, the first set I broke them, second set I broke 3 of them (re-worked my installation method this time)

and the 3rd time, they all went in smoothly, with an addition of MSD 8MM wires, the **** THINGS STILL DON'T WORK.

I had them gapped to the reccomended .25', installed super carefully, and I fire up the engine and MAGIC, they IDLE greatly, but when I get on it, I get nothing but very ugly, and gutless acceleration. HUGE stutter, and no drivability at all.

I check the boots, their new, the wires, their new, and the plugs are definately new.

WTF?

Bad coil?

HelP!!!
