it isn't the parts that will kill you because you can probably find a junk gsx parts car for about 800-1200 bucks. it's the labor. if you can find the donor car and switch the stuff yourself its much cheaper but requires a high level of knowledge and a bunch of tools

yeh..
if i gave it a year or so, i would prolly know what i was doing well enough to do it myself.
so, if it is a gst, ill just wait a while, and do it myself when i feel i know how to.

No no, its mostly welding, not car knowledge.

I swear to God you can buy a GSX for less then the swap will cost.

Hey, dont you drive already a GSX...well according to your avatar's info there (profile) says you got a 98 GSX. But anyway if you dont have a car yet...i started with a GS and it sucked balls...$hit was dumb slow...i got rid of it after 2 months and got lucky with the GSX. What i'm thinking though is that if you do get your hands on a gsx, you probably going to beat the **** out of it...these cars are HIGH MAINTENANCE...so stay away from them until you are at least 25-30 years old...lol  I'm being sarcastic about the age thing...lol but good luck though!

dude I'm 20 and have driven an array of cars from camaros to jags to g35's and everytime I get out of a car with more than 300hp I say man if I had that car I would be dead. there is something about having the power and using it and being young and thinking your superman. not a good combo. I think it is the best advice to get a slow car and learn how to drive first, then upgrade slowly for more power

im 20 and ive driven cars ranging from festivas to diablos and i never had a prob. if u can drive u can drive thats all that matters. if ur 16 and start with a fast car your going to leran how to drive alot quicker than if u sarted with a slow car. u just have to be smart and know ur limits and when the time comes push those limits to elevate them. if u cant do that then u shouldnt be driving anyway. and please exciuse any typos im typing one handed... popsicle ftw! lol

I say get the best thing you can afford. Get it to some auto X courses and learn to drive your car.
