Why does the oil come out of the cap that we poor it into? i just got my car back after 3.5 weeks, get it home, open the hood and the whole valve cover is covered in oil.. it has to be coming from the oil fill cap...

Are you sure the valve cover isn't cracked where you can't see it?

you mean the sealant around the valve cover "cover" it has an injen chrome deal that screws in.. but the rubber ring around it does look shot... could that be all that it is? Why does oil even poor out like that?

Because you probably have a knock off injen oil cap with no seal.

well speaking of injen oil caps....i got one and i had the same problem.....the cap's locking thingy is not big enough to keep oil from getting out. i popped the hood and i saw oil everywhere like it had an oil orgasm in my engine bay.....so to settle the problem i replaced the cap with the oem one and also i got a new valve seal set. im bone dry baby!!!1

oh comon let him get it! the 55hp and 37 lbs of torque it adds is SO worth the oil leak. also dont forget when u add an aftermarket oil cap u have to change your muffler bearings.

(on a side note: me and my buddies walked into the local shop and save the other day and asked the clerk for some lightbulb grease.. and a thing of headlight fluid... the **** spent litteraly 15 min looking for them... the whole time we were just laughing...
