Well, the joke's on BOTH of you! I already have my manual! :bwekk: 200MB of pictures, diagrams, instructions, and circuitry!
...
And still no DRL solution!!! Well, I do have some finds, but they aren't solid... they are at BEST theories. I'll upload the pages I found on the DRL wiring... apparently, the DRL is linked to Fuse 12, not 13 as described in the car manual. Oddly enough, there is no Fuse 12 either. WHADDAFAK MITSU?
What I DID find was that there's a black line in the diagram which is specifically labeled as the DRL line. There is no other mention of the DRLs in the ENTIRE manual except in this specific section (section 90-80 if you have the manual). Theoretically speaking, if you cut that line, the DRLs should cease function since the DRL is only located in one specific ECU and is routed to both headlights.
And besides, why would you want to torture me with bits and pieces of the DRL pages? Seems kinda counter-productive since I'm trying to help bypass the DRLs. :gunsmilie:

My electronic theory isn't too bad with circuits. So, if you upload those pages to your DRL post, I can work on a ECU-DRL fix with my co-workers. It's obviously harder because of the intregrated set-up. Also, e-mail a copy of the schematic to "Afeudale". He's the guy who designed the DRL FIX. He's very knowledable and helped me out alot. I am still not sure why you wouldn't try one of his fixes that disables the DRL's. Anyways...... back on topic now ;) P.S-Link to Afeudale's post: http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t31985-ho...nd-hid-39-s.htm

I took apart the files in the CD and it comes with 3 folders (each loaded with PDF files) and 1 main PDF file (main page). The 3 folders are BRM (Body Repair Manual), SM (Service Manual), and TIM (Technical Information Manual). I don't know why, but some of the links on the technical manual don't work, but I can still navigate to the pages manually.
Anyways, there's a LOT of information on this manual... like you wouldn't believe. The more I read, the more I learn. I actually found the location of the relay that controls the DRL function ON the ECU! Too bad I can't find the ECU to begin with :)
But every theoretical solution I find, it's only to DISABLE the DRLs, not reroute them (which is what I've been trying to do). That's why I haven't tried afeudale's method #3... that and I could never find the one key item I needed... the extra 9006 cable.
I'd rather reroute them and avoid any issues with the ECU freaking out over the fact that the DRLs are not functioning.

Oh the ECU wouldn't freak out because it's still outputting the same signal, only the modified cable is nulling it out afterwards so you don't have the DRL signal. I have an extra 9006 cable if you'd like. It's cut in half though because it was routed through a huge rubber seal. All you would have to do it get the components needed and solder away, that's if you would be willing to try afewdale's method. I can mail it out to you if you want, just PM ME. And just to put this thread back on topic, make sure you do all the above mentioned in accordance with the factory manual of course, lol
