Hi, i have a 1997 Mitsubishi Space Wagon, usually drives perfectly, but today, the oil light and battery light keep flashing on and off, also a strange squeal, screech coming from engine bay. Did have a screeching fan belt til yestrday, had it tightened and all seemed fine, now all this, anyone help?

could be alternator pulley? the lights coming on would indicate alternator probs

had same problem on a 1992 glxi, even the same symptoms turned out to be alternator
