hi there!

I'm not a pro but if I were you, I'll just check the fuse for the power window first. this fuse can be found at the hood. :)

Turned out to be the plug had come lose from the back of the drivers side switch which was stopping the whole system working.

Problem is I pulled every fuse out first to check and the layout on the fusebox cover didnt agree to the contents.

Now the windows work great, but the car doesnt idle now and stalls at the traffic lights - what have I done!!?

maybe you pulled a fuse out thinking its the window one and haven't put it back properly? the over lead shouldn't be anything to do with it.
