Hi, New to this forum,

Just wanted to know what type of alarm is fitted to my L200 Elegance 56 model?

Preferably after the make and model to get insurance satisfied that its a Cat 1 Thatcham alarm system!?

Thanks,

:00000732: to the forum

are you able to tell if the alarm system is a
mitsubishi fitted or an after market alarm ?

if possible get to or call a dealership and see if they can work it out
or a place that fits car alarms

the important thing is not to accidently decode it

do you have two controllers or keys to activate the alarm

Hi Chain Rattle,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I don't pick the vehicle up until next week and I didn't think to check the alram when I looked under the bonnet.

The insurance company have said they will not insure me for theft until the alarm has been verified as a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system.

I'm sure that the Elegance comes fitted with the alarm and imobiliser as standard factory fitted equipment.

I'll probably have to ask the dealer for a statement to this effect, as I can't seem to find any other information on the internet as to the alarm spec.....

Hi mate.
I've got a new shape Animal and the alarm/immobiliser is definately a Cat 1.
My insurance company (NFU) had no problems with me just telling them it was a standard factory fit unit.
