hey guys please help if you can.

my moms eclipse died. we thought the fuel pump went out b/c it was not working. well the pump works still. we used a straight wire and it came on perfect and pumped gas. we also used a test light opn the white plastic clip that plugs into the top of the pump plate under the rear seat. it gets power like it should. but with it plugged up the pump will not come on. what else do we need to check to see why it wont turn the pump on? like i said with a straight wire it works, and the test light will come on when you sitcik it in the plug coming from the car. could it be something with a relay? if so where is the fuel pump relay? thanks guys

Trey
