Valves Shot, Pistons Dead?, Broken timing belt DOHC

Member Group: Members Posts: 48 Joined: 17-January 05 Member No.: 5,061 Status: Location: Pennsylvania Drives: 91 Eclipse GS	Timing belt goes... three blown valves. The head is already off the car. How can i tell if the pistons are still okay? What is the likelyhood of the pistons cracking when ever the timing belt snaps? Any other problems I should look for? Thanks for your help.

I think I'll just look at the top of and hope that its ok.... I will also hope that I am right before I buy the car. For only 450 bucks I cant make too much of a mistake.
