Sorry all, stupid question about to be asked.

I have a 2002 Eclipse Spyder GT with the premium Infinity sound system.
I blew one of my factory rear speakers.
What I would like to know is:

1. the factory 6x9 speakers are they 2-way or subs? I can't tell, their paper cone crap.
2. What is the ohm rating for the factory speakers? 2-ohm, 4-ohm, 6-ohm, 100-ohm? hehe
3. Which wire is the ground? The Yellow/Grey or the Grey/blue wire?

1. They are 2 way 6x9
2. They are 4 ohm without the infinity system, 8 ohm with it
3. There is no ground "technically" , just a positive and negative lead

I have the Infinity system.
Sorry, which lead is positive and which is negative?

I figured they were two way, however I purchased a set of Polk DB691, which are 3 way @ 4ohms. They sounded very good in the store but once installed they are not as loud as the factory nor do they have as much bass, but they do sound better.

Thanks for the info!

Not 100% on the wires without taking mine out... which I am not in the mood to do. Best way is to look the original speaker. The harness that was on it should have a + side and a - side. The just determine which wire came out of where.

The reason the 3-ways sounded better in store is that they were 4ohm speakers running at 4ohms. Now they are 4ohm speakers running at 8ohms, so the resistance is too high. They aren't getting powered to their full potential.
