Hi, I have recently bought a 1995 lwb Pajero 2.8td auto, and love it. Everything seems to be working fine except I loose power when driving uphill. I drop down to 20/30 mph even with foot to floor. Can anyone help? not sure when I am suppose to be using overdrive, is this anything to do with the power loss problem. Many thanks, Lynn

On most models i have seen boost gauges , so if so equip on yurs , have yu glanced at it during regular driving to see wut the boost is like? There could be a host of issues . One is lost boost. It may boost enough for regular driving but when encountered uphills , when it will really be relying on the turbo boost (it is turbo right?) Its getting lost before its entering the engine causing the lack of power uphill. Can yu elaborate a little on teh issue so we can help, like yu hear the turbo loudly but not much power etc. Are there any drivetrain noises or noises when attmpting to go uphill. My Uncle has a 1997 Pajero 3.5 DOCH LWB , its a petrol engine , but when hill ascend/descend is engaged it limits his power extremely to make smooth and constant uphill climbs and down hill descends using engine braking and managment to do so , im not that sure if this is yur case though, but it helps to maybe pin point an idea.
