Any suggestions on a switch, or modification, that will allow the foglamp switch to remain ON even after the lights/engine are turned off. I still only want the foglamps to operate when the headlights are on. The stock switch turns itself off when lights are off and I'm getting old and don't always remember to turn the switch back on everytime.

you can always just hard line it to your switch instead of from the module it is connected to. that would keep your lights on even if your key wasn't in the ignition, but that might cause a problem with leaving your fog lamps on, and draining your battery. if anyone else has another suggestion if i were you i would be open to it, however it looks to me as if this may be your only option.

I think he means he wants to have his fog turn on and off the way your lo beams do if you leave the switch in the on position?

BTW I'd like to know too, my Mazda3 does this, although without the low beams on.

hard wire the fog lamps wires to your parking light wires. that way you can have your head lights off, but your tail lights work and your front marker lights are on with your fog lamps. so, if you ever turn your lights to the parking light setting and get out of your car you will know you haven't turned your lights all the way off. its kind of a idiotproofing so you never leave your lights on at night.

if that doesn't strike your fancy, then hard wire the fog lamps to your low beam and high beam wires. you'll have to wire it to both if you want your fog lamps to run while either are on. hard wiring the fog lamps to your front marker lights will keep them on whenever you are using your lights at all.

its also a very easy job to do, because your fog lamps should only have 2 wires a red and a black, and your parking lights only have 2 wires. easy to hook up to without screwing anything up. i hope that helps you out.

I like the parking light scenario.

Thanks.
