Hi everyone,

Well I am currently looking into buying a 2009 Lancer (not quite decided on the trim level yet).

I haven't heard of any HID options coming along stock with this car, but have noticed that one of the EVO X cars at my dealers lot has some projector headlights with HID's. At first glace the headlights seem of the same size as the Lancers do, so can someone confirm if they are a match?

Thanks!!

I tried calling a local dealership to confirm this, but nobody in parts would answer. The Evo X headlights w/projectors are much better than our stock ones because they use the highbeams to run the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

To be honest, the headlight housing WILL fit in our Lancers... I can't say the wiring is the same though.

Yeah, they really make the car stand out. They will probably cost a bundle, especially if the hids come along. If anyone gets hands on info please hook us up!!

Called Grand Mitsubishi (the place I should have gotten my Lancer from) and the guy I spoke to said that the only way to know for certain is to pull the Evo X headlight out and stick it in a Lancer. He said "We'd have to check to see if the part #'s are the same and it's more than likely that they aren't. Just to be safe, I'm going to have to say "no" on this one."

I then called Napleton (the place I did buy my Lancer from... mistake) and I asked the guy there, his first response was "... whua?" I ask him again and he says "I dunno man." I ask him just out of curiosity how much a pair of headlamps would cost. He puts me on hold for like 2 minutes (which feels a lot longer than you think) and then comes back and says "I would need a VIN number in order to check out the info."

... I hate Napleton.

ANYWAYS, the Evo X is wider at the wheels, not the entire frame. Technically speaking, I could rip the entire body kit off a Evo X and stick it on my Lancer (too bad the colors won't match... CURSE YOU OCTANE BLUE PEARL!!!)

I say it's possible, but it may be more hassle than it's worth... costwise. As for opening up the stock headlamps to install aftermarket projectors, it seems like a good idea. It would be awesome to get some Angel Eyes in there and link them to the DRLs...

OHHHHHHHHH BABY!
