GUST PICKED UP A 2001 SPIDER GT WITH A BROKEN TIMING BELT.
ONE OF THE PISTONS WAS DAMAGED DUE TO TWO SNAPED OFF VALVES.
THERE IS A SMALL DIG IN THE TOP THAT MIGHT BE OK TO LET GO, BUT IF I CAN GET ONE CHEEP THEN I WOULD REPLACE IT INSTED OF TAKING A CHANCH WITH IT. I DONT KNOW HOW THICK THE TOP OF THESE PISTONS ARE AND HAS THINKING I WOULD PULL IT TO SEE HOW FAR THRU THE DING WAS AND IF THERE WAS PLENTY OF MEET THERE I WOULD GUST USE IT. BUT IF I HAVE IT OUT Y NOT PUT A NEW ONE IN. IF ANYONE HAS A PISTON OR KNOWS HOW THICK THESE PISTONS ARE LET ME KNOW.

i would refer to http://www.car-part.com

call one of the salvage yards listed under the engine head part, and ask them if it is possible to get a piston head. it may be a lost cause, but no one will get hurt if you at least ask right!

sorry if it took a long time to reply to this post,

I bought a brand new one from a dealer, $65. Car is all back together now. Cost me about $400 in parts to redo the top end and one new piston. Next time I would pull the motor because pulling the heads off is a pain the a@# with the motor in. Thanks though, appreciate the suggestion.
