Any thoughts on changing a Two wheel drive v6 magna to having a 4x4 drive option and lifting it so it can roll on 4x4 tyres....or atleast lifting it a bit???

costs?

i know you're thinking just go get a 4x4, but then it wouldnt be a magna would it!?!

im thinking just lifting the front or 4 or 5 cm and the rear 9 or 10 cms...adding some power, bigger tyres and extra handling mods to cope with all that height and roll factor...

...the magna seems to have good slide on loose open and its naturally low set so that the roll factor seems minimal....i dont want to take it to the limit though as money is budgeted. threw the rear alignment out drifting on open gravel field. i dont reccommend drifting at all.

i have been told 18" is the biggest wheel the car will hold. wil lifting it a little increase the whell size capabilities or will i have to lift it right out?

is it possible to extend the axle so i can have larger tyres without lifting it too much?

how about lifting the rear by only two inches and putting tyres two inches bigger on the front, as its a front wheeel drive????

curios to hear any ideas or comments and they will be greatly appreciated

thank you all

Well there are Diamante and Magnas that are 4WD , but is he attempting to get it to be lifted as a truck? Mine is a 1997 Diamante VR-S with SUPER INVECS II its its 4WD,4WS,4WAS with ride logic and 4WBM . I had loads of pictures of it on my account of teh same name , but one day it said i wasnt registered and had to re rigister.

But yeah yu can 4WD it but work is extensive, yull need the rear drive axle subframe and suspension cradle with all teh suspension componets on it . And that suspension onlee takes so much of maximum lift with the non ride adjustable suspension. Yull need the the W4A32 or W4A33 all wheel drive auto tranny , wiring drive axles , center diff coupling , yu dun need Turbo or anything , My car has 3.5 DOCH MIVEC . But its a lot of work , yull also need the exhaust cross section.
