ARE F****** SERIOUS?

i cant believe u ould ask that. u actually think that has anything to do with warranty?

the ony thing that can effect ur warranty is if any sort of MOD is directly related to any part of the car failing/ or breaking or anything of the sort.

how in hell can painting ur cover  effect ur car in any way? it cant. for anything to effect ypur warranty it has to be directly related to ur failed part or parts and be proven that that MOD was the cause.

this has been talked about before in other posts.

STEALING FULLMETALPANIC'S GLORY!!!

INJEN CAI FOR THE WIN.

 , but man what a pain this was!  At the end, I was just like "Forget this" and put one single heavy coat on top and let it dry in my super hot trunk.  The worst part was when I was painting it in my alley and my sister was like "Willy, what's that thing on the paint?"  And she touches the wet paint.

...

Fortunately, I started on the spark plug cover.  Cleaned off all the old paint, sanded it down, cleaned it up, and put one single heavy coat on top.

Note to everybody who wants to paint... MULTIPLE LIGHT COATS!  You waste a lot less paint and you get a much smoother finish.

Overall, I'm really satisfied with the results... and I would like to thank fullmetalpanic.  She inspired me to do this!  My exact words were... "If she can do it, so can I!"

THANKS FMP!!!

Clear coat just protects the paint and makes it shiny.... seals it in so it doesn't fade or scratch. It also makes it easier to clean.

Always make sure you WAIT until the other coats are dry before putting it on. Thin even layers are they way to go. Two should be good. Then one thicker one before letting it dry. I let mine bake in the Texas heat in a garage for a week. That sucker was dry!
