INJEN CAI FOR THE WIN. , but man what a pain this was! At the end, I was just like "Forget this" and put one single heavy coat on top and let it dry in my super hot trunk. The worst part was when I was painting it in my alley and my sister was like "Willy, what's that thing on the paint?" And she touches the wet paint.
...
Fortunately, I started on the spark plug cover. Cleaned off all the old paint, sanded it down, cleaned it up, and put one single heavy coat on top.
Note to everybody who wants to paint... MULTIPLE LIGHT COATS! You waste a lot less paint and you get a much smoother finish.
Overall, I'm really satisfied with the results... and I would like to thank fullmetalpanic. She inspired me to do this! My exact words were... "If she can do it, so can I!"
THANKS FMP!!!
Hey just wondering what paint you used and did you clear it? Looks amazing i want to do that to my car just worried how it will turn out.... Was it hard to get the engine cover off or is it just the two screws??
