Ok so I figured I should list everything I am going to be needing in case anyone might have something for sale or are curious what is needed( items with a * beside it have already been obtained) 1) Custom tubular exhaust manifold
* 2) Boost Gauge (mechanical)
* 3) MBC (manual Boost Controller)
* 4) AFC Neo (or similar fuel managment unit)
* 5) 450cc injectors
* 6)Turbo (T3/T4 or MHI 14B or MHI 16G)
* 7) intercooler (SM or FM, either will work, I used the stock SM from a 1g GS-T) * 8) Stock 1g BOV (or any other Reccirculating BOV. It MUST be recirculating, a Vented BOV messes up the AFR too much in a 1.8 and will drown the motor between shifts. 9) Custom Intercooler Piping (upper and lower, although it IS possible to get an after market UIP to fit with a few turbo couplings it is much easier just to have one made.
10) Custom Downpipe
11) Braided steel oil lines and a T-fitting
12) custom intake piping 13) Bigger Camshafts (not necessary but thought I would throw it int here anyway for the hell of it.
14) Rebuild kit
15) Oil cooler
16) 2x Felpro head gaskets
Well, That about covers it. The list will slowly be marked off, however, like stated before I only can spend about 200 a month on the car since I am still going to school and have alot of bills to pay for my age and I also have to pay for school (and i pay in full I dont use loans)

QUOTE(EMC 3000gt @ May 28 2008, 11:47 AM) You may want to get in touch with some Aussies. I think that car is pretty common down under.
GTO Scotty would be of some help to you.
Is GTO scotty on this board or another section?

QUOTE(EMC 3000gt @ May 28 2008, 01:09 PM) Yeah your gonna have to PM him as he doesn't check the eclipse section.
He also just moved and works for ESPN so he's a busy guy. So you may have to wait a bit for a response.

QUOTE(pwee05 @ May 28 2008, 02:02 PM) yes and yes. We've used it on the SRT we had with a 50trim baby kahuna varying from 22-35psi. If it can control that frankenstein of a surge prone turbo then it is pretty good in my eyes.
great cause 45 for a MBC is pretty **** cheap if u ask me :D

QUOTE(BulletMagnet @ May 28 2008, 02:07 PM) You arent going to mess with the internals at all? i dont know a whole lot about the 1.8L engines; how much boost can the stock in internals take?
no I dont want to mess with the internals because the way I see it those things were engineered to a point and I dont know of any name brands who make quality performance internals for the 1.8 as for boost, there are alot of variables that can determin what you can run. with the stuff I listed you can safely run around 11 psi with a 9:1 AFR (with one head gasket) if you use 2 head gaskets u can run more tho I am not sure of the numbers for it. also keep in mind these numbers are with a smaller sized turbo. I am doing this more as a learning experience than looking for a race car lol. once its said and done will only be pushing around 230 hp

QUOTE(pwee05 @ May 28 2008, 02:04 PM) jump on Ebay and find some used 450's from a DSM. They are all over the place for $50 for 4. Or if you have time to wait Im probably going to be changing out my stockers in the next 2 weeks or so and I will send them out to you for the cost of shipping
ok well you think 450cc will be a bit too much? if not ill be all over that. I dont get paid again until Friday so I cant pick anything else up until then anyway but yea, if you think the 450's will work then sure Ill be happy to take 'em off your hands :D
