In this case you aren't just a vendor selling an inventory, you are developing a product using customer feedback amongst the DSM community, and there is a technical discussion accompanying this topic/product. It is ok to post your price because I started this topic to help people find alternatives to 5-speed swaps and find a simpler, more cost effective solution to the aftermarket products. :57:

For future reference, if you have other products you are selling for (other than ipods  ) anything that is being sold goes in to the classified section

Ok, well, in that case. They are 165 shipped to anywhere in the US with insurance and a 60 day warranty :P

Thanks for clarifying that. The other stuff I am working on will go in the classifieds.

No, it will not shift without you pushing the button. You can add a cheap shift light to automatically shift when the light comes on. I include how to wire up a shift light in the instructions that come with the box. I am actually working on an adjustable RPM switch that can plug into the shift box for automatic up shifts at what ever RPM you set making racing even more fun and consistent. That is somewhere close in the near future.

That would be completely up to you on that. The upgraded version may be awhile before that comes out. Every person who has bought a shift box from me has loved it so far :D Either way, I know you will be happy with it :)

would the upgrade be something we could add on ourselves if we already have the box or would it require a new box?

p.s. i've already started putting money back for it

It would have to be a new box. I have to change the layout on the PCB so the new features will work. I am not sure what I will price the updated ones at, but I figure close to 175. It depends on how much more it costs me in parts.

that still isn't a bad deal compared to the IPT box. Even if I would have to buy another one of yours after the upgrade was complete it would still be cheaper and have a better button format than the IPT one :)

It should work if it is electronically shifted using 2 solenoids. I can do some research and see what I can come up with.

Once it is on and say I go though all the gears up then do I hafta go through all them back down or can the box just allow the tranny to step down on it's on?
It looks like is has a jack on it so I can install an external button set.
It seems you allowed the safty features that are already in the tranny to keep an eye on things so we don't eat the stearing wheel or is it the box that keeps an eye on things?
Oh yea could you post the directions to hook it up I wanna see if I hook it up myself or pay a guy to do it.
And does it have a fancy name yet?

You do have to manually shift down once you go up through the gears. Each tranny and car would be different and I can only program in one function for all cars if i added auto down shifting.

There really are no safety features built into the box. There is a small time limit before you can downshift more than once, but that is about all. The rest is up to your tranny and how you shift it. Unlike 4 button to 2 switch shift boxes, you cannot shift out of sequence....it is physically impossible to mess that up :P

The instructions are extremely simple and they include what wires to hook up into what color wire in your TCU harness for your year model car. So far, no one has had to go to a shop to install it.

As for now, there is no fancy name :( can't think of anything except for 2 button manual shifter :P

Later on down the road, I am sure I will be able to implement better features, but for now, budget is tight and I have very little time to do any R&D :( I know the 2 button shifter is the best out on the market for our auto's and it is at a very fair price compared to competitor pricing. Once my name gets out a little more and sales pick up, better things will be added to the box.

Ok can I use it to do all my upshifting then switch it off so I just use the tranny's autodownshift to do the work when comming to a stop?
I don't wanna screw up nothing :blush-anim-cl:

no, that is highly not advisable because the TCU could be in a different gear if you switch it off. Downshifting with the box will not hurt anything. I have been driving with it for over 9 months now and have had no problems at all :) 2g's will go into limp mode when the box is turned on and you will have to turn the car off, then back on to go back into regular driving. 1g's can be switched back and forth while the engine is on. The box should never be switched into off while driving.

Got some new things coming soon on the shift box. So far I have successfully added an auto upshift at a preset RPM. When someone buys the shift box, they can specify what max RPM they want to have it automatically shift at :) It is accurate to about +- 200 RPM all the way to 11000 RPM. This feature is for those who race and want to have the box automatically upshift for them when going down the track. I will also be adding a safety feature where you cannot downshift into 1st without being below 2000 RPM. This is to prevent accidental downshifting to first and possibly causing you to eat the steering wheel :P Next feature I am working on is adjustable shift pressure :)
