Last week I got in my 2003 Galant and turned the air from off to a setting of 2. Nothing happened. I turned it up to 4 and then the blower came on, a/c worked, everything was happy. The next day i got in and nothing happened, no matter what setting i turned it to.

I checked my fuses and replaced the fuse labeled "Heater" as it appeared to be blown and was the only one that i could identify as might be the culprit. Are there any more fuses that could be the problem? Could it be a relay? I live in Texas so i need help fast, its hot.

It can very well be , in most cases of which yu stated that the blower did not work on low settings but onlee high , is many times over a symptom of a bad blower resistor . It aids the fan speed switch in varying the speed of the bower . The blower motor resister is located on teh passenger side near the blower motor . about 3-4 inches away and retained by 2 bolts . The placement they are located is seceptible to water , as many of these Galants ive seen had the a/c evaporator drain clog and fill the case with water . This may not be yur case but. Hope it helps.

Funny that you mention that...

My A/C drain pipe just recently has been having a hard time draining and i can hear water building up. When i turn (back when the blower worked) the water would slosh to the side and i could hear it hitting the fan. Do you think the blower resistor is whats wrong?

In this case its hard to tell, yu see the blower resistor is basically an open element in the air box, and in this case (which is an easy to access spot , but bad cause its where its in danger of getting wet) It is an open element with a major hot wire and resisted smaller wires that help control teh fan speed. The blower motor resistor could have gone out , which caused the fan to onlee work on high speed , but water getting into the blower fan is wut burned the fuse.

Does anyone know if the blower motor resistor is behind the glove box, or actually under the hood? I have a 2000 Galant 2.4 Litre.

Thanks
