I want to get the greddy Tic for the 2009 GTS. I noticed its a axle-back, does it really make a big difference?

Most AB exhausts are basically muffler deletes, so you just free up HP from the slight weight loss. CB exhausts include a high flow pipe from the catalytic converter which will help increase flow (and free up HP).

I may have been mistaken when I told you about the GReddy Ti-C... it's actually a CB exhaust, I was researching the Works exhaust (which is a AB) and I got the two confused.

=D

Thats ok, but which one is better, I don't really need a lot more power, I basically just want a nice deep sound and a cool look. But how much HP gain could I expect from the Greddy Tic cat back exhaust?

As far as sound is concerned, you can always YouTube them and get some nice sound clips. People have complained that the GReddy exhaust is too loud, but it's all in the eye of the beholder. Like I said in the PM, the site says it's 2008+ which indicates all available Lancers from 2008 and up. So yes, it should fit the 2009 2.4L. If you are still concerned, ask the makers themselves because they can provide you with more info than I ever could (including dyno sheets).

But to be totally honest, nobody here is made of money. The more of the exhaust you replace, the more expensive it's going to be. If all you want is a nice sound and a cool look, you're much better off just buying a new muffler and replacing the stock canister. You'll get exactly what you wanted and at a FRACTION of the price. Personally, the Works AB Exhale is my favorite sounding exhaust, but since it's just a straight pipe (muffler delete), I can just get a stainless steel straight pipe fabricated at a local muffler shop and have them bolt it on for me for much less than the Works pipe.

And for the record, just edit your posts rather than posting another one. It makes it a lot easier to read :)

To ask your ?. I talk to some shops around me and I get 2 different saying about the Axe-back vs a full new cat-back. Some people say IT DOSEN'T do any power at all to your car. It just give you a big can in the back of the car and a loud sound too. Other people say if you take off the stock muffler and put on the Axle-back like the one your asking, you looking at a good 2 to 4HP because it give you a better flow off the exhaust. See I can't really do any thing because I live in NY and if I doing any thing to my cat it a big no no. So I'm just thinking about getting the same muffler, but for that price I might just wait a little longer to see if they come out with a good Cat-back that be ok in NY. See my old car I had a 2002 Chevy. Cavalier and I did alot of work to it, like new headers, full cat-back, cold air intake. and I did some work to the engine too and that was a big no no too. because I got my car taking away. So I sold it to my friend and he made it in to a show car/drag car. Any ways back to your ?, I say its up to you. My self I will wait to see if they come out with a good cat-back in other states then Cal. But then I do like my cars to sound loud too and the cold intake I got on sounds bad **** but I like my cars with more sound to them
