I took my odd and even cylinder heads off, becuase I got a good deal, 300$ to recondition both heads and 8$ for each valve replace, I had misfiring on #3 cylinder and 0 compression, so took it off after hours of labor. and found that an intake valve wasn't sitting in the seat correctly, so now I going to take them and just have them both looked at and fixxed.

but now, I am down to the engine block and deck, and the pistons are visable which I'm sure you all know. However. I'm not 100% sure how to clean all this surface on the engine deck before I sent the head gaskets and cylinder heads back on here. they are pretty dirty. So any info would be great. Thank you

Preferably a lint free rag.
