My '95 3000GT is leaking and burning oil really bad. I want to replace the engine in it. I was wondering if anyone knows what engines (besides 6G72) will fit this car? Also, if anyone has any expereince with this kind of swap or knows where I can read up on this I would greatly appreciate if you could share.

a 6G72tt is your only direct drop in option. And that requires some modification to the main harness.

I found this site that shows step by step 3.5 6G74 motor installation into 3000GT or Stealth: http://wrenchmonkey.com/Webpages/6G74swap.html It does look like more extra work, but definately doable.

Thanks! I think I am going to go with the 6G72. I just want to still checkout turbo engine swap. I know I'll have to replace more parts with this swap.

Seriously how much money do you have to fix this car?

Good point! The reason why I want to swap an engine instead of buying an new car is to save money. I just want to see how much more expensive would it be to get a VR4 motor. If it just $1,000 it be worth it for sure!

The turbo motor is cheap the accessories like turbos and intercoolers aren't.
Plus the upkeep is more expensive.
Chances are to buy a good condition TT motor and necessary bolt ons would run you close to $5000 plus install.
GirlyVR4 is going to have a better more accurate price then I will leave that for her.
