I have a friend that installed a torque damper in his Civic Si hatch and I was really amazed with how I could feel (or maybe notice is a better word) the difference. I've been looking for one for my 91 GS with little success. I did find an Ingalls 'Universal-Fit Engine Torque Damper'. Does anyone know if this 'universal' damper will work with a 4G63 and where I would be able to get the brackets? Or, does anyone know where I can get a damper for a 4G63? Let me know. Thanks!

it would be better to use urethane engine and trans mounts instead of trying to find a place to install a shock absorber on the engine.

are you having a wheel hop issue?

No, I would just like to have more stability to the engine. One of my other freinds also had one in his 240sx so I've seen them work in more than one car. I'm already planning on going to polyurethane engine mounts, I was just thinking about getting a little more hold. Speaking of engine mounts, does anyone know why my front engine mount would be continuously going out. I've put in 2 brand new front mounts since I bought the car and both times they were torn within a couple weeks. I haven't bother to replace the second one yet because I want to get the polyurethane mounts.

If you have a rear mount (limited experience with the 1g and the 4g63 cars showing here) it might have gone bad to putting more strain on the front mount.

Basically you have a bad mount somewhere else on your car.

if you wont need something stiffer than polyurethane mounts unless you are making and planting 500+hp. If you still want something stiffer use solid mounts
