sorry to hear that man
i got nokya bulbs for my low beams, the reflector is fine, but the connector is burnt.
so i switch to sylvania ultra immediately... i think it is the voltage difference that cause the problem .... cuz nokya bulbs takes 80w whereas stock takes 55w...
hope it helps

9006 bulbs will not fit the H11 connector. The connectors look similar, but the pins on the H11 connectors have a smaller gap between them. The only way you could get a 9006 bulb to fit in the H11 connector is to bend the pins on the bulb itself or to use a conversion wire. Like I mentioned before, both bulbs use a 55w current, so it shouldn't cause too much concern. Just check the wattage requirement on the bulbs themselves :) I still say go for the Hoen's... $40 a pair. Hoen EnduranceI have the Xenonmatch halogens and I am very pleased.

QUOTE(rox @ Jun 4 2008, 03:35 PM) Now I'm worried myself and wondering if I got the 9006 bulb or the H11 Bulb... geez.
I'm pretty sure I got the H11's though I must said the wrong here thing.
Anyway, the "old" one I had before was H11 for sure and it melted almost the entire reflector!! I mean the old bulb was melted right into it to the point where I couldn't take it out without totally destroying the bulb.
So I would suggest if you replaced your fog lamps check if the reflectors are still okay and if anything catch it before they melt!!
Now I'm running PIAA bulbs for low beams (that's probably why I said 9006 cause that was my latest purchase) and been running them for a while now. These are perfectly fine, the reflectors are as good as new, nothing is melting.
Anyway I'll have to double check what I got for fogs and what the ratings on them are... I'm pretty sure it said 55w-130w or something like that. I'll make sure when I get home.
I have 55W / 80W bulbs in mine. I don't think the 80w output is a gimmick, I just think the stock wires don't carry enough to bring out the full potential of the bulbs. Saying that tho... 55W / 130W sounds like way too much. Get something lower. I was warned about the melting issues w/ aftermarket bulbs and someone suggested something to me. I'll pass on the advice.... Buy these... thicker gauge wire harness adapters. (IMG: http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s1/BeigalBeigal/Image001.jpg) And then you can relax and get the most out of your aftermarket bulbs w/o regrets. The passenger side has the thicker gauge harness inbetween the stock and the bulb. The right is just the stock harness with the aftermarket bulb. I have all my lights set up this way. Put em in on April 26th... and NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, plus brighter light!!! (IMG: http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s1/BeigalBeigal/Image003.jpg) But still... the 130w sounds scary, I'd leave those alone. BTW, I didn't go for the name brand hi-tech lights, but I haven't had any problems. Here is a link to where I discussed this sort of thing before, hope it helps. Good Luck!! http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t32135-st...ement-bulbs.htm

Ok so for real now I have these for fog lamps: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H11.htmlLook at the Plasma Yellow. They look sweet on the car, but are melting the reflectors. Now I have these for low beams: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H4.htmlLook at the XTreme White Plus... except spec on website says 55w-115w and on the box 51w-115. To be honest with you, looking closly at the headlight reflector I can notice that it's slightly overheating as well. There is no melting occuring at all yet but there certainly are patterns of extensive heat. So I guess avoid using these bulbs (or ones with similar specs) with the stock harness. Poo...

Yo man.... If you don't have dough for HIDs, (which I heard give you a flickering issue with the Daytime Running Lights) buy one of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-NOKYA-9...sspagenameZWDVWIf you send him a message, he will get you the H11s and the 9005 harness adapters as well. I wouldn't go over what I have, which outputs 80W. But if its either vent the fogs or HID your car.... I'd HID it up!! Personally tho, HIDs seem like a waste of cash to me. :P

I plan on putting HIDs in my fogs as well. They are worth every cent! Plus you can easily disable the DRLs which cause the flickering for about $6 and 30 minutes. It cost me $16 because I did the solution on a separate 9006 cable instead of my wire harness.

Pardon my ignorance.... but what is so great about HIDs?? :puzzled: I don't know much about em, but when I bought my (regular) bulbs, I just wanted to get rid of the lame OEM flat color bulbs.

Ignorance pardoned :P It's not just the color of the bulbs that make the difference, but the visibility. You see so much more of the road at night. You can see much farther down the road with a slight increase in visibility to your sides as well. The intensity of the light also helps you see objects with reflective surfaces at night like all kinds of traffic signs (stop, speed limit, yield, etc.), cyclists, and most importantly... squad cars  If I had my camera, I'd take some pictures of my HIDs now and you can see just how much of the road they illuminate.

QUOTE(08Lancer89 @ Sep 3 2008, 07:42 AM) I have Piaas in my foglights but they are h11 and no problems what so ever, they did cost me tho 70 bucks
I don't know how this is happening then. I have the H11's too, and they also cost me around 70 bux, they still melt.
