My 95 has been out of commission for sometime because of d@mn electrical issues, but anyhow... I got my newest power transistor in today (hopefully the last of my electrical problems) and i go to crank it over...

There was one sound which almost sounded like something crunching when i turned the key. Now i just get a click when i turn the key. My father said hopefully the clutch plates had just rusted together because it had been out of commission for so long.

What else could it be?

Check the starter my guess is thats bad.

I don't think your plates rusted together from sitting, MY car sat for a couple months and was fine.

Take your timing covers off make sure that the belt is ok. then put the covers back on.

When you turn the key you said you get a click. Is there any draw on the battery? Lights dim? If not its your starter.

check to make sure mice haven't filled your timing cover or bell housing up with field corn. i saw 2lbs of corn fly out of exhaust pipes on my dads 67 corvette that had been sitting for 2 years. we never thought to check anything inside of there because it was in a garage

I know it sounds dumb but pull the connectors off your battery and make sure they aren't corroded I just dealt with this today spent all day under a hood to replace a alternator that ate it self up to the point of completely seizing. (took about an hour and a half to find a new one get the old on out and get the new one in.) spend the rest of the day trying to figure out why I still only got a click on key turn and guess what? my battery connections were corroded haha. so double check the dumb things.

I am 100% positive that its not my starter. The starter was replaced pre-electircal problems. It has been tested and its def working.

Pretty sure the bat terminals weren't corded bc i took my quick disconnect off today and connected the wires the proper way. I didn't notice any corrosion.

I will post tomo after i check the timing belt

Good news, this morning i got the car running, seemed like it healed itself over night, but now i also have another problem (figures).

The car will idle anywhere from 2.8k to 4k rpms. I have a hunch that the throttle cable is a little loose or something. The thing which the cable attaches to doesn't seem to want to sit in the idle position. So when im driving it, its like i am constantly giving it gas. How to i adjust the spring mechanism which the cable adjusts to? or is there something else?

~thanks

My idle screw is all the way in, and i am still idling at like 2.5-3k rpms or more. The throttle cable is constantly pulled a little, so even tho my foot is off the gas, it drives like my foot is constantly on the gas a little......

The throttle cable is snagged some place you gotta find it and loosen it.
