Thanks guys, you've given me a lot of help and so I have another question... I am going to buy aftermarket tail lights (black inside housing with red lights) but I don't like the center piece that comes with it cuz it makes the back end look like there's too many lights so I was thinking about having the center piece (where the trunk lock is) painted the same color as the car when I have it painted (I'm thinking metalic charcoal). Can this be done without the paint peeling or chipping.

im sure you could, people paint the center piece on stock tail lights, dont see why it will be a problem with aftermarket.

put a VERY thin layer of bondo on it then paint over that. it will sticck better.. just bondo it then sand it till the layer is thin enough to where it does not protrude past the other tail lights.

Those taillights will kill everything. Keep the stockers, and paint the center. It would look 100 times better.

You don't like the aftermarket tail lights? What do the rest of you think; Stay stock or go after market?

Leave em as is they look great! Now if ya gotta and only if ya gotta just paint the center piece the same as ya car as for me I'm leaving mines as is it's a sexy symbolic image of a real eclipse (As in when sun peeks over the moon) that's the reason why Mitsu did that ;)

LOL, I don't like the color either. I will be getting it painted after I get it running. Charcoal in color and I think with the center piece painted and the after market tailights above it will look good :)
