Is there any point in putting money into a FWD car to reach over 300 hp, will you even see this power?

Yea just look at the 1g/2g GST. There is a point in putting 300hp into a FWD car, it's just expensive.

for the amount of money it usually takes most people to get 300+ hp it might just be easier for you to buy a already 300+ hp FWD car. i mean its not uncommon to find a 1G or 2G eclipse turbo that has been already modded.

if you do decide to buy one i suggest you try and find someone on here looking to sell theirs. most modifiers here are pretty reasonable, both for their prices they ask and for the way they drive their cars. if you find one make sure to check the members name for posts in the street encounters and competition racing sub-forum that way you will know what to expect for their driving style. if they post in their they are usually beating the **** out of their cars, if they don't post in their they normally just drive it on the weekends for fun.

300 to the wheels is not that hard to achieve. If you are looking for a track car, then i wouldn't do it personally. I had about 250 to the wheels on my old gs-t and the wheelhop and torque steer lead me to purchasing an Evo.
