Hi Guys can you help me.

I have a Shogun Eqiuppe sports 2.5 so I hope im allowed to post in here.

When i first start the engine from cold it starts fine. When i the turn off the engine and immediately restart its fine.
However when I return to the car after say 30 minutes even upto an hour the engine has trouble starting and may take upto 45 seconds to kick in.

Also after around 4 miles the engine management light comes on and the car runs in I think ''Limpo Mode''

I took it to a garage and after £300.81 a new battery a new petrol filter and a glow plug later they said it was ok and sent me on my way, I only got a couple of miles down the road when the management light came on again.

I took it back where he charged me a further £129.00 to put a new pressure washer somewhere. I have run the car for a godd 50+ miles and successfully no light has come on.

However the car still starts badly and after starting pretty much ok from cold once again the problem comes into play when you turn it off and return around 30 mins to and hour later where it turns over and over and over...

Eventually the battery has gone flat and required jumping . Now the starter has packed up. I phoned the garage who suggester returning the car for another look

A friend had a quick look after suggesting the fuel shut off could be faulty and noticed the wire was not on.. on taking the fuel shut off , off he noticed no spring or plunger within the component.

The car is an electronic fuel pump and electonic accellerator if this helps.

Should there be a spring and plunger within this part or because its run by electronics does it need to be there.???

The problem may have originally started when I put some diesel in from a contaminated drum ie: I was running low on fuel and a friend brought me some FROM A GARAGE but when I put it in I noticed bits of deposits in the bottom of the drum....

Can anybody help or have any suggestions?
