i want to buy a new eclipse but it has an exhaust leak that cant pass inspection i was wondering how hard it would be to fix?

Depends where it's leaking. If it's leaking at a gasket, simply replace the gasket, if there's a hole somewhere, have it welded.

if its a leak in the ipe most shops will charge at most 10-15 dollars most places is probably less.

Its usually in the Flex section. 20 - 30 for the new flex and another 30 for labor. at most.

Flex section on the downpipe is always the first to go. You can either get the universal flex pipe for that size for around 30$. Get the factory down pipe for 200$ Or do what I did and buy a header/flexpipe combo off of ebay for 60$. don't let the price fool you they're actually really nice. Hope this helps

or go after market with a bigger exhaust. turbo cars are happy when more air and exhaust is flowing faster then stock.
