Hi all,
I like the gts rims but love the mr's.
I never got ahold of the sales guy before the closed here to ask if they can be traded out. i remember he mentioned they are about 4k for the mr rims alone, but i mean to get them instead of the gts rims. shouldnt be 4k. since the rims on the gts they told me are about 800 per. so rough calc, 5-600 in the cost diff.

think they would do it or rape me and say it can't be done unless its 3k or something silly.

i think they would look sweet.

thanks.

if you ask them to just put it on the cost of your car as you are signing your contract and what not i don't think it would matter how much it would cost cause you wouldn't be paying anything out right anyway. You should ask them if they can do that first and if they say no then i'd say ask them. But knowing the guys in that Dealership, all they're gonna tell you is go to the part dept guy, who is actually really good to deal with, but i'm sure all he is gonna say is that you gotta buy em seperatly.

thanks,
called them today and thats what they did say, but he said we could do it but they are a bit wider so there is a good chance they will rub, so he doens't recamend it at all. You are right though he was a good guy to deal with.

good to see another newfie on here :) gotta wait 2 more months for mine sucks

Paying that much for rims is silly.

Doesn't anyone in the aftermarket ring have anything that you like? You could prob find something that looks similar to the MR's at a fraction of the cost.

But if you do get the rims from the dealership....MAKE SURE they recalibrate the speedo for the larger size wheels....don't know how much it could throw your speedo off by....but it prob will.

the rims on the MR are BBS RS-GT's. go to a local wheel/tire shop or look around online for something that looks like it. theres a lot out there for a much cheaper price.. u could probably find the MR wheels for a lot cheaper price. use mitsubishi to buy parts specifically for our lancers, not something that will fit on any other car.

Here is a few options for you, hope these help!

(Oh and thats 160-209 per rim, depending on your choice, oppose to 750-800 and they look almost identical.)
