Hi gang, The boss's CE 1998 GLXi Wagon has developed a problem with the power steering and she is not happy.

The 4G93 engine runs very roughly when turning the steering slowly with the engine just above idle. The problem is worst when the engine is cold.

I guess the problem is either the pump or the pressure switch on the pump is faulty and not sending an input to the ECU to increase the idle speed.

Can any body help me with how to test the operation of the pump pressure switch?
