I just got a 2006 Endeavor with the factory single disc mp3 radio. All I want to do is add a 3.5mm input so I can play my NON-ipod mp3 player through the radio without using a stupid fm transmitter (which all sound like crap btw)

I've seen there is a ipod adapter now, but I want to use something besides an ipod - so all I want is a basic and standard 3.5mm input jack.... Can this be done? HELP PLEASE.

Same here. I winder if there's some way to splice a 1/8" connector into the wiring under the dash?

I am also looking for the same thing for my car. I found this

http://www.installer-parts.com/by_item.php?it=MIT-35M

https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/product_inf...e45c23aa1e560ca

I am wondering if anyone thinks this will work? I am not a car audio person but it looks like it will BUT if the original radio does not have an AUX button will this still work? You know how you normally push the AUX button to get your MP3 player to work. Will it just turn on when it is plugged in?
