i want to vent my greddy type-s BOV to atmosphere but when i disconnect it from the short ram intake the idle is very low and tends to stall.

thats why you shouldn't unplug it in the first place. just leave it the way it is. you can still hear the cool sound that it makes still pluged. even i can still hear my hks pluged

that's because when you unplug it air can get in the tube that the MAS doesn't know about and it doesn't know what to do with the fuel map.

If you want to vent to atmosphere block the tube with something and clamp it down so air can't get in it. I used a makeup bottle I snuck out of the house (don't tell my wife)

+1 for leaving it plugged in though, it will run better. I vented mine because my car is an automatic so I don't have to worry about how bad it will run between shifts like a 5-speed would

little bit pricey but from my exp on my old car it was worth it. then just get tuned for venting. or leave it lol and plug that thing up.

yeh i plugged it with some rubber stopper from ace hardware. it idles better but mine is manual so like you said i do have problems in between shifts. i am leaving it recirculated for now but i have seen some that are vented and run fine. i guess they have been tuned.

or run a MAP or GM MAF sensor instead of the oem MAS
