I wouldn't say that exactly. Here is a picture of a guy from my old car clubs Scion tC. It actually looks pretty good and he has won quite a few shows with it.

I'm definitely digging the pressurized pistons for the hood. Nothing beats opening your hood with one hand!

I wonder if I can pick up a set for our cars...

I was just wondering if its possible to put lambo doors on an 09 lancer...

Do any of you guys already have this feature on your car? If so how much was the kit and the installation?

Wanted to know if its worthwhile to even try to get lambo doors on a lancer.

Yo, straight up... as usual, I have have to disagree with the masses.
But someone always has to, or we would still think the world is flat, right?

No offense, but everyone that thinks Lambo doors makes you a ricer, or whatever....
I gotta disagree with ya.
Putting lambo doors on the lancer probably wouldn't look half bad, imo.
Wouldn't do the lambos on mine (I'd rather just suicide the backs), but I do go to Hot Import Nights and other car shows that frequent my area and see them on a few cars, as well as other mods that some of you may not like such as adding speakers, putting chrome wheels and/or highlights (which some of you feel is a sin, i've read the posts)
But its to each their own, everyone has different opinions and style (tho most have the same style as I can see by the posts in this thread).
To me tuning is making your car perform better.
But it doesn't make you a ricer to add some style to your car, to do something out of the norm...
Case in point... most ppl (sorry if this hurts) who have our lancer (de,es,gts) wanna paint their bumper flat black and play pretend like they have a EVO X.... is that not ricey? Is that not posing? Is that not the WANNABE right there? C'mon yo.
You'll feel real cool until someone pulls up next to you in a EVO X and smokes your tuned (not ricer, right?), pretend EVO X.

Idk, but it seems like the pot calling the kettle black to call someone a ricer for doing Lambo doors when you're pretending your car is an EVO X.... Glass Houses throwing stones, Hypocritical, etc. :bwekk:

My opinion is unless its gonna hurt your cars performance..... don't follow the herd... do your own thing. Be unique. There will ALWAYS be haters.
But thats just my .02

And to answer your question, it'll cost about a G ($800-1000)

:amen:

I never thought about it that way, especially the whole Evo X bumper part. Kudos Mitsu_Fizzle. Definite +100 on this one.

 Now point me to the Type-R decals, I need that extra 15 horses they provide!

Mitss_Fizzle since we can now watch DVDs while we drive I hear if you watch the first Fast and the Furious while you drive it gives you like 10 more horses.

"Vinyls Add Horsepower"
Putting them on correctly adds even more :P

It just depends on the car's design, Lambo doors would look very nice on Exotic car body shape. But for tuner body designs, it really depends on the body kits used and the (I think) "curvyness" factor. I like how it may look on a Mazda RX8, so long as the back two doors are never opened  But for our Lancers =\ ... Meh

Just my opinion. The only thing that matters is that the car looks nice once it's done, like the paint jobs a couple of people did over in the other threads :blush-anim-cl:

:offtopic:
I need to layoff the emotes =\

Yes, I heard that too. :P
This coming weekend I will be confirming the rumor that if we watch F&F Tokyo Drift while we drive, we will be able to drift using the CVT paddle shifters.
SWEET!!!

That's awesome, but only if you have a GTS. The ES drivers will need to watch 2Fast 2Furious and try that driving backwards on the highway thing because 2F2F adds HP but only if you drive in reverse and have one of those fast and the furious bass cannons that best buy use to sell.

Have you looked into what it would take to do suicide the back doors because that would look pretty sweet.

I shall have to try that later.... I'd really like to get up to max HP if I can. But being a woman it might be dangerous for me to throw in reverse :P

We have that stupid little kickstand to hold up the hood. I'd like to see you do it one handed!

our hoods weigh a good 50 lbs. + and my bro's 04 civic si hatchback's hood is like 20 lbs or something, i almost broke it opening it so fast plus it has a rubber thing over the end so you don;t cut yourself or something. I'd like one for my car. And i know that sounded wrong but deal with it.

I'll probably be doing this.
Not that its the biggest deal in the world, but the style thats currenly on our car is old skool.
This updates it.

Why do all the simple mods require tools I don't have?

Pulley = Torque Wrench
Hood Quick Lift = Rivet Gun

The freaking CAI only needed a screwdriver and a simple ratchet set!

well it makes sense that you would need fancy things for the engine block like torque wrench on the pulley, you dont wanna mess that up!

But the CAI is a bolt on intake tube and filter in all regards. same with the exhaust. but anything on the engine block itself will need torque wrench because the engine is tuned and balanced for exact stresses and pressures over the entire block.

Rivet Gun for a hood lift!?!?!?! Now thats just silly. Screwdriver and hammer oughta do
