Hi guys

I am new to the forum, and new to the GTO/3000GT aswell...

just purchased the car..... finally have one now

Description of the Car:

1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO 3.0 Twin Turbo
4WD/4WS/Active Aero/Active Silencer (changed)/Traction Control/ABS/ECS/
and all the normal bits and bobs.

Mods:
HKS Turbo Gauge
HKS Sequential Dump Valve
HKS Map (i do not know what that means, dealer told me)
HKS Twin inlet Air Induction Filters
Apexi Air Flow Converter (dont undersatnd how to operate it)

Problem1: (please remember it used to run perfect when i got it 10 days ago)
my rev counter does not stay constant at 750 rpm. it drops down to 200 and then comes back up to 900-1200 rpm and then goes back to 750 rpm and then after 30 or 50 seconds does the same again......... but does not cut out.

noticeable when the car is at optimum tempreture. otherwise when sitting in the car it feels like a misfire or lite jerks every so often. now you can imagine the engine cycle and movement according to the revs....

i have ordered new sparkplugs and ignition cables waiting for the delivery.........

i cannot understand why would it just start happening out of no where......
_______________________________________________________________

Problem2 (SINCE DAY 1):
Is it normal to get the engine started you have to crank it 3 times.
first 2 times i cant start it untill i crank it for 4-6 seconds first crank and it starts.
however
if i crank it for 3 secs first time
then 3 secs second time
and then 2 secs third time and it STARTS at the third try...
______________________________________________________________

please help???

P.S. will post a video very soon.

Is you HKS BOV (dump valve) recirculating?

You have the famous click click no start issue.

BOV = releases pressure in atmosphere, check the link have uploaded some pictures
