Hello guys. I am new here.
I have a Montero 1994 SR 3.5L version which I have rebuilt. Currently the 4WD system fails to engage after previously being ok. Have not changed anything but went off road after fixing an oil leak on the oil cooler system. Found that it would not engage and dashboard lights remain flashing. Central diff lock engages, as does rear diff lock, but no 4WD.

What can I troubleshoot to sort this out? Don't wanna go to the local workshop as they prefer not to work on Japanese vehicles.

Thank you

Johann

Thanks. I checked out the link and it gave me an idea of what to look for. Found the problem and it's been sorted out. It was just a broken wire to the little electrical connector that sits right next to the front differential.

Take care

Johann
